Minibeast Hunt

8th Mar 2022

Today Primary 4 and Primary 5 surveyed the school grounds for minibeasts. This marked the beginning of their 'Busy Bees' project. The project will focus on the importance of minibeasts, bugs and birds in the process of pollination. Over the coming weeks we will be installing bug hotels, logs, bird and bat boxes to encourage wildlife. We are also adding planters and trees to encourage wildlife to visit our garden. Every four weeks we will review our findings and discuss the various strategies that encourage wildlife both big and small to habitat our natural environment. Our friend Joanne from RSPB will join us during our next Big Bug Hunt (5th April) to support our learning and prepare us for the bronze RSPB Wildlife Challenge Awards. #RSPB #LiveHereLoveHere
