Spring into Summer

13th Apr 2022

We have been busy preparing our school grounds for the visit of many pollinators during Term 3. We built an extensive array of bug hotels to accommodate many insects and minibeasts. We added lavender and pollinating plants to encourage them to revisit or indeed have an extended staycation. We upcycled wheelbarrows and old tyres to add extra planters within the school grounds. Pupils during play have also planted out the summer vegetables, including scallions, lettuces and carrots. A number of busy birds are nesting within our bird boxes. We hope they have a successful nesting season.
