School Council 2023/24

Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child says that children and young people should have a say in decisions that affect their lives.

Congratulations to our elected 2023/24 Student Councillors. Our School council representatives will use their leadership roles to promote the voice of our pupils. A council serves as the voice for an entire student body and works with staff to allow our learning environment to flourish.
Our council includes a pupil from each primary 3-7 class and has a number of responsibilities:

  • A school council usually meets with a staff member to discuss ideas which are important to the pupils in our school. These could include organising and promoting fundraising events, community events and school ideas.
  • They help represent the school and ensuring the school is environmentally friendly working alongside the Eco-council.
