Our challenge today was to gather the heaviest bag of leaves. In teams of 4 pupils for the duration of 20 minutes we brushed and gathered, snatched and shared our way to achieve success. Deciding how we would weigh our leaves we began to solve who had the heaviest bag. Looking at the bags some predicted the fullest bag would be the heaviest, others waited to see the final weigh in. As a group we discussed why some bags were heavier? We concluded that the size of the leaf, length of time of the tree and decay of the leaf added weight to the bags.
