School Council Meeting

17th Dec 2019

The School Council are developing 'Rights Respecting Schools' throughout our school community. At the last council meeting in November it was suggested we should have a school mascot, representing us in all aspects of school life. A large bear dressed in Moneynick clothing will now be present both in school and at all events. Our bear, although nameless, had its first outing today to the Panto. After Christmas the council is to organise a competition to ‘Name the Bear’.
The School Council has also requested iPad stands. Following the evaluation of our animations the pupils noted how difficult it was to hold the iPad still. Ten iPad stands have been ordered and will be available to use by all pupils in the coming days.
The School Council has also concluded that there should be suitable awards for pupils who achieve their AR target. They discussed which items were suitable and organised a box of awards for AR. AR targets will be reviewed in January by the class teachers and everyone will have the chance to receive an award.
