Y6&7 TITANIC VISIT

22nd Nov 2017

A super day out to Titanic, Belfast was had by all the pupils of Y6&7. Their theme at present is ‘Unsinkable’ and the boys and girls are having lots of fun investigating floating & sinking, The Water Cycle, Icebergs and obviously Titanic- who was to blame and why it sank! Big thanks to their guide for the day, Gareth who made the experience so enjoyable. The pupils learned so much on the visit that they didn’t know before. They learned about all of the industries in Belfast (the boom), the companies who kitted out the Titanic. They learned what it was like during the building of the Titanic and working conditions etc. Most of the class felt that if they had been on the Titanic, they would have been travelling in First Class!

Even though the experience of Titanic, Belfast was excellent, the boys and girls are even more aware of the enormity of the tragedy that happened in April 1912.
