We are honoured to announce that Moneynick Primary School has been awarded Creative School of the Year 2024 by the Education Today Awards. A mighty feat for a rural school, being recognised nationally from over 20,000 Primary Schools in the whole of the UK. Mrs McConway had the privilege of attending the prestigious Awards Ceremony as one of 5 finalists in the Grand Connaught Rooms, London on December 6th 2024. The judging panel described this category as thinking outside the box to achieve great teaching and learning through creative, innovative programmes. A statement which captures the living ethos of our school.

We were delighted to be presented with the Families First ‘Inclusive School Community' Award. An accolade that captures our school's living ethos as identified as our area for dissemination during our recent Eti inspection: “ the forging of a meaningful, wide-ranging community of learning which enriches the children's learning experiences and enhances their holistic development”. This award belongs to every member of our school family – a term we often use proudly, as our work is built on deep-rooted partnerships across our community. We're deeply grateful to our staff, who make these community connections and opportunities possible. Thank you for giving your time, energy and heart to ensure everyone shines in our school. To achieve this together is the greatest reward of all. ✨At Moneynick, we believe it takes a community to raise a child – and that's exactly what we do, together.✨

Cumann na mBunscol Cornmarket Awards 2024 & 2025

We are delighted to announce that we have been recognised for our contribution to the promotion of Gaelic Games and Culture for the second consecutive year at the Cumann na mBunscol National Awards Ceremony in County Roscommon. We were awarded 2nd place for the Promotion of our Gaelic Games and Culture and 2nd place in the School of the Year Category at the 2024 Award Ceremony in Mullingar. Moneynick P.S continues to thrive and innovate in our provision, not only for our pupils, but every young Gael within South West Antrim. We will continue to forge our own legacy working with staff, pupils, parents and all local clubs as we promote our unique message of an inclusive ‘GAA Family'. We wish to thank our amazing pupils both past and present, our dedicated staff and committed parents. We also wish to acknowledge the support of our local clubs Erins Own GAC Cargin, St Ergnats GAC Moneyglass, Kickham's GAC Creggan and all those who contributed statements of support in our nomination videos. This is an historic achievement for our school, community, clubs, county and the province of Ulster to be recognised Nationally two years in a row.
