Congratulations to our team of Primary 5-7 girls who won the St Patrick's College, Maghera LGFA Shield today at Watty Graham’s GAC. Taking on some of Derry’s finest in a packed line up of 12 teams, our girls went unbeaten in their rounds securing them a place in the semi-final. They overcame a very strong St Eoghan’s Moneyneena side to progress to the final. Standing between them and the win was a decorated St John’s Dernaflaw, the tournaments camogie champions, but our girls remained skilled and determined, bringing home the Shield. Once again, we thank our local clubs Erins Own GAC Cargin, St Ergnats GAC Moneyglass, Kickham's GAC Creggan whose investment in their youth is reflected in our team and Mrs McKeever who coordinates these individuals into one cohesive team!
