Cumann na mBunscol National Awards

8th Mar 2025

Mrs O’Neill, Mrs Devlin, Mrs McKeever and Mrs McConway represented our school at the 2025 Cumann na mBunscol National Award Ceremony last night in the Hudson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Co Roscommon. An amazing night celebrating the finest examples of culture, promotion of Gaelic Games and heritage across Ireland. We were delighted to be nominated for a second consecutive year and this is testimony to our consistent commitment to instilling a love for our Gaelic games and passion for our culture within our pupils and wide community. Receiving 3rd in the 'Promotion of Gaelic Gaelic Games and Culture' category was a privilege and honour. We wish to congratulate all the finalist and winners from the 4 provinces. A special shout out to the other Ulster schools who were acknowledged for their contribution to Cumann na mBunscol; our fellow ‘saffron school’ St Mary’s Portglenone who received 3rd in their category, St Mary’s Glenview Maghera, County Derry on winning their category and our Small School of the Year, Our Lady’s and St Mochua’s, Derrynoose County Armagh, Principal our very own National Cumann na mBunscol President, Mr Gary Farrell.
