Art Competition: “What Lough Neagh Means to Me”

4th Feb 2025

Lough Neagh, one of Northern Ireland’s iconic landmarks, is under threat from large-scale algae blooms since 2023. The School of Biological Sciences, Queen's University are involved in a number of projects promoting sustainable farming across Northern Ireland. As part of the event they will showcase a range of viewpoints, including how our young people are impacted by the ecological situation in Lough Neagh.

Primary 7 students across Northern Ireland are invited to creatively express what Lough Neagh means to them through art, inspired by its landscapes, wildlife, culture, or personal significance.

Our Primary 7 pupils have been busy preparing a piece of collaborative art to enter into the Queen's University Lough Neagh Art Competition.
