Fiona Roache is an Irish artist who paints wildflower meadows with such care and colour that her work seems to breathe with life. She has a special gift for turning the everyday beauty around her into something magical on canvas. Inspired by this, the children from Moneynick and Duneane Primary Schools became young artists themselves—using magnifying glasses to study the tiny details of buttercups and daisies, sketching them with detail using various art mediums concluding their lesson creating their own Moneynick Meadow. With chalk in hand, they transformed their pavement into a blooming meadow highlighting on how native flowers are something extraordinary when we take the time to really see them.
