🌍New Eco Initiative♻️
Our Eco Team have launched an exciting new recycling project to help reduce plastic waste and protect our planet! We’ll be collecting plastic lids from milk bottles, drink bottles and other household containers — but instead of these ending up in landfill, they’ll be transformed into useful items for our school.
We need your help to make this happen!
Pupils can bring in their clean plastic lids throughout the month, adding them to their class collection. On the first Monday of each month, our Eco Team will weigh each class’s collection to see which class will be crowned “Eco Champions of the Month!” 🏆♻️
For our wider community, we have introduced a Designated Lid Drop Day on the first Monday of every month. We encourage community members to save their lids and then drop them off with a member of our Eco Team throughout that day.
We’d also love the support of any of our local businesses — if you have connections with cafés, shops or organisations that use or could collect plastic lids among their staff, we’d be so grateful for your support. Businesses can contact us at 📧 info@moneynickps.randalstownni.sch.uk to arrange a collection. Each month, we’ll also recognise a “Community Contributor” for their amazing efforts in helping us make this a truly community-wide initiative.
Every lid collected will help us take another step toward a cleaner, greener future showing how small actions can make a big difference.
Together, we can make our school more sustainable and help the world, one lid at a time!
