As part of our theme ‘On an Adventure’, our Primary 1, 2 and 3 pupils received a very special visitor! ‘Brian the Bear’ was found hiding in a picnic basket in our school playground by some very excited pupils. In his note, he explained that he had come from a forest near our school to go on adventures with our pupils!
From attending birthday parties and training, travelling from Cushendall to Ballinderry and Croke — Brian the Bear has had a very busy schedule and made lots of memories over the past few weeks!🎂🛝🏟️
Linking to the ICT curriculum, each child documented their adventures with Brian by taking photographs and creating their own digital collage using ‘PicCollage’. They explored fonts, selected backgrounds, experimented with layout, added stickers and wrote messages about their journey with Brian!
Today they presented their collages to their class while navigating one of our Promethean Boards, building confidence, presentation skills and descriptive language. This activity wasn’t just about fun – it was about building skills for life through storytelling, technology and playfulness. A massive thank you to all our families for supporting this fun and educational experience — and of course, to Brian the Bear for being a part of our learning. We hope you will visit again soon! 🧸🤎
