Polytunnel
Over the past 5 years Moneynick Primary School has developed an outstanding outdoor space where pupils can play and learn in a multi-sensory and extensively resourced environment. Continually innovating our outdoor provision we have added an extra dimension, installing a Polytunnel supported by a grant from Live Here Love Here to enhance our eco experience. The grant paid for the installation of the Polytunnel, the purchase of new equipment, flowers, trees and bushes. Our pupils involvement in this project began in the spring when they planned, prepared the ground and renovated our school garden. The pupils have begun to nurture seedlings including many vegetables and flowers. Teaching children how to grow food as part of their schooling is more than just a practical skill – it’s a life lesson. It equips them with the tools to live healthier lives, understand sustainability, and appreciate the world around them.
This has been an extensive project however as always our pupils and staff have risen to the occasion.
