Today our Primary 1 pupils took their maths learning outdoors, exploring sorting, matching and classifying in the most hands-on way possible! Surrounded by the colours of autumn, they collected leaves, twigs and natural treasures, grouping them by discussing their similarities and differences. Through playful discovery, pupils deepened their understanding of early data handling and pattern recognition. This activity not only strengthened early numeracy skills but also encouraged observation, language development and creative expression. The lesson finished with each child creating a beautiful leaf collage. A perfect blend of maths, art and nature!
