Taking Outdoor Play Seriously
Time spent playing outdoors is of vital importance to children, boosting their physical and mental health, building their resilience, developing their self-confidence, and allowing them to let off steam. The outdoor environment can offer a wealth of learning experiences, supporting the curriculum in numerous ways.
PlayBoard’s TOPS (Taking Outdoor Play Seriously) Quality Assurance Programme and Award for Outdoor Play is aimed at supporting schools to bring about a comprehensive transformation of their school environment in order to encourage and support outdoor play and outdoor learning.
Our Parents had the opportunity to listen to our vision and discuss our ideas. We had a very productive meeting and we look forward to our DIY day. Thank you to Olivia, our Playboard NI leader and to all who attended the meeting.
