Over the past weeks we have welcomed a fantastic group of student teachers from St Mary’s and Stranmillis Colleges, Belfast, into our school family. 🏐Mr Hastings and Mr Rooney facilitated Gaelic coaching across all our classes. A real highlight for our pupils and a valuable opportunity to continue developing their skills. 🎻Miss Walls quickly got into rhythm with our Primary 3 class, bringing her musical ear and enthusiasm to complement our Ceol agus Craic traditional band. 🌦️Mr Close created a storm of learning with our Primary 4–7 classes through their theme “What’s the Weather?” and also facilitated an after-school Gaelic club for Primary 1–7. 🧪Miss Millar, with our Primary 6/7 class, brought a real passion for STEM through her after-school club from gravity-defying challenges to explosive volcano experiments, finishing her placement in Primary 1/2!
We thank them all for the energy, creativity and dedication they brought to our school. We wish them every success as they continue their careers! Our pupils will miss you all! 👏📚
