Our Lenten Campaign is well under way. Today we enjoyed an informative talk from Roisin, a Trócaire representative who educated us on the impact each one of us can make!
Deadly storms and droughts. Entire harvests lost. Livelihoods and education opportunities, gone. One in every two children under the age of five, malnourished. Right now in Guatemala, hardworking families like Ilma and Julio’s are being pushed further into poverty by the relentless effects of climate change. Ilma and Julio must choose between school fees that offer hope for tomorrow, and food for their little ones. There is not enough for both anymore.
Tickets for our ‘Annual Easter Egg Raffle’ can be bought at 20p per ticket each day at lunch time. All proceeds will go towards our Trócaire Lenten Campaign. Our school community's generosity towards local, national and international charities is one of the many aspects of our catholic ethos which has resulted in our school being recognised as the Spirit of Catholic education 2025 for the third consecutive year.
