What Cumann na mBunscol means at Moneynick?

11th Apr 2025

Happy Cumann na mBunscol Week from all at Moneynick Primary School!

Cumann na mBunscol endeavours to promote Gaelic games in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment to make Gaelic Games the games of choice in Primary Schools across our 32 counties, a mission shared by all at Moneynick P.S!

Our children enjoy weekly coaching from our staff and external coaches on our new pitch and at local GAA grounds, exploring and excelling in the 4 codes. To mark Cumann na mBunscol week in addition to this provision, our pupils wrote poems, painted portraits and researched information about the clubs, counties and players who motivate and inspire our young Gaels.

We also celebrate the forward-thinking school staff involved in South West Aontroim Cumann na mBunscol who volunteer their time and collaborate to respect and sustain the vision foreseen in 1971. In recent years we have left our mark on the annual calendar, most recently with the Inaugural Cross Country Run at St Benedict's College, Randalstown. An amazing day which captured the presence of the Cumann na mBunscol Spirit and ethos in SW Aontroim, our community and our school.
